History of Quarterbacks in the First Round

Did Mark Sanchez make the right call? The stats lean towards what Pete Carroll was saying. Sanchez may not turn out to be Peyton Manning and I don't think he'll self destruct like Ryan Leaf...but you know people say Tim Couch and Heath Schuler were really nice guys.

  2. Curt Warner was drafted, but Kurt Warner wasn't drafted.

Curt Warner was drafted first by Seattle in 1983 and was one of the last Penn St. backs to enjoy a really good career.

Kurt Warner was undrafted, failed in a Green Bay tryout, and took the long route to the NFL. Now he is going to his third Super Bowl...While USC Heisman winners Matt Leinart and Carson Palmer are still hoping to lead a team to one.

Another reason for Mark Sanchez to think long and hard...if its just for the money its the right thing...the money he'll get if invested wisely will set him up for life...but if there is any ego to the decision...well...its his choice to be mentioned in the same breath as Akili Smith, Rich Campbell and dare I say (Dare Dare!) Ryan Leaf.
